Kaner Group of Companies has leveraged its 82 years of commercial experience by investing in distribution operations over the past 50 years, delivering nearly 2,000 global brands to sales points across the island. With a large family of over 700 employees, including a 230-person distribution team, we have the most experienced and extensive distribution network in Northern Cyprus. Today, KANER Group of Companies continues to ensure the sustainability of its operations with solid and innovative steps through its current sales and distribution teams and the import volume it has achieved.
The foundation of KANER’s successful sales and distribution operations today has been built upon the knowledge accumulated since 1942 and the experience gained from partnerships with companies over the years. Its teams, trained in their fields and equipped with the latest technology, transfer the “know-how” they have acquired and applied to the businesses they serve, helping them achieve global standards.
With a 230-person field team, 2,300 service points, and 6,500 weekly visits, KANER Group of Companies possesses significant field strength, capability, speed, and deep expertise in its sector today, supported by the SAP enterprise resource planning/decision support module integrated system.
DUTY FREE
KANER Group of Companies obtained Northern Cyprus’s first duty-free license in 1975. Since 2013, it has held the exclusive operating rights for the duty-free operation at Ercan Airport in Northern Cyprus for a period of 25 years.
KANER Duty Free at Ercan Airport covers a total area of 6,000 m², including arrival, departure, and last-minute stores. Expanding its product range to over 19,000 varieties, the Duty-Free stores offer a wide selection of global brands across the categories of Perfume and Cosmetics, Chocolate and Confectionery, Toys, Electronics, Souvenirs, Travel Accessories, Tobacco and Tobacco Products, and Alcoholic Beverages, as well as Fashion and Accessories. KANER Duty Free stores serve over 4.8 million passengers annually, operating 24/7 at Ercan Airport.
In addition to the airport stores, KANER Duty Free Shop operates two stores in the arrival and departure lounges at Kyrenia Port and one store at Famagusta Port, serving both arriving and departing passengers.
FRANCHISE OPERATIONS
Gloria Jean's Coffees
KANER Group of Companies’ journey with Gloria Jean’s Coffees in Northern Cyprus began in 2007 when it signed the country’s first master franchise agreement despite international embargoes, opening the first Gloria Jean’s Coffees store in Dereboyu. Today, this unique brand delights guests with gourmet espresso coffee in 18 stores, including sub-franchises, across six cities: Nicosia, Kyrenia, Famagusta, Güzelyurt, Lefke, and İskele. Gloria Jean’s Coffees Northern Cyprus aims to strengthen its leadership both in the local market and among Gloria Jean’s Coffees stores worldwide.
Domino's Pizza
KANER Group of Companies signed an agreement with Domino’s Pizza in 2012 and opened its first store in Nicosia in August 2013. It later opened stores in Gönyeli in 2015 and Famagusta in 2020, introducing pizza lovers to the world-renowned Domino’s brand. Since its opening, Domino’s Pizza Northern Cyprus has consistently achieved five-star ratings in the annual production facility inspections conducted by Domino’s Pizza International, proving its compliance with Domino’s Pizza standards.
RETAIL OPERATIONS
In addition to its Duty-Free stores, KANER Group of Companies launched Kaner Brand House as an online shopping platform in 2020, creating a new concept store where customers can experience the most exclusive collections from world-famous brands.
Kaner Brand House stores, opened in Nicosia and Kyrenia in 2021, offer a wide range of globally renowned brands, including Antonio Banderas, Azzaro, Cacharel, Carolina Herrera, Diesel, Desigual, Giorgio Armani, Jean Paul Gaultier, Kipling, Lancôme, L’Oréal, Nina Ricci, Paco Rabanne, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Samsonite, Shakira, Tumi, Valentino, Viktor & Rolf, and Yves Saint Laurent.
TURKIYE OPERATIONS DUTY FREE BRAND REPRESENTATION AND SUPPLY
Founded in 1996 in Istanbul, Kaner Dış Ticaret Ltd. Şti. successfully represents numerous international and domestic brands, including 40 international and 28 local brands. It offers a diverse product range, including tobacco, cigars, alcoholic beverages, Turkish delight, chocolate, baklava, halva, Turkish tea, Turkish coffee, pişmaniye (traditional Turkish candy), confectionery, dried fruits, nuts, and snacks.
Kaner Dış Ticaret specializes in sales and marketing activities for duty-free stores at airports, border crossings, and marinas. Additionally, it provides comprehensive marketing support to certain brands through its regional sales teams, developing solution-oriented approaches to meet growing market demands. With its strong partnerships and broad product portfolio, Kaner Dış Ticaret maintains its leading position in the industry.
UK OPERATIONS
IMPORT AND DISTRIBUTION
Kaner International Ltd., established in London in 2023, joined the Kaner Group of Companies to carry out import and distribution activities in the United Kingdom. The company imports and distributes Mey-Diageo’s RAKI brands and Kamiki Japanese Whiskies, as well as wines from Saporito, Famille Icard, Bestue, and Soldevilla within the UK market.
