Protecting Nature
Protecting nature is essential for a sustainable life and a healthy future. With this awareness, Kaner Group of Companies attaches great importance to environmentally friendly social responsibility projects.
Since 2018, the company has been meeting its energy needs through a solar power plant. Thanks to the Solar Power Plant, Kaner Group of Companies has prevented the release of 2,529.92 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere since 2018. This reduction is equivalent to the amount of carbon absorbed by 64,870 trees, significantly contributing to the fight against climate change and the preservation of natural ecosystems. The solar energy produced corresponds to an annual driving distance of 10,752,157 km for an electric vehicle, reducing vehicle emissions and promoting cleaner transportation.
Kaner Group of Companies is committed to leaving a greener, healthier, and more sustainable world for future generations through eco-friendly social responsibility projects. Following the forest fire in the Kalkanlı region last year, the company established the Adem Kaner and Vedat Kaner Memorial Forest in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources. In this two-hectare area, 1,500 cypress and pine saplings were planted.
Kaner Group of Companies also partnered with Society for the Protection of Turtles (SPOT) to organize a beach cleanup event in Akdeniz Village as part of World Cleanup Day, raising awareness about environmental sensitivity.
Furthermore, Kaner Group of Companies is a Green Company in the Green Schools Project, carried out in cooperation with the International Final University, the Cyprus Turkish Entrepreneurial Women’s Association, and the TRNC Ministry of National Education. This project aims to raise social awareness about the climate crisis and encourage green transformation. Being part of this project, which is vital for nurturing environmentally conscious youth for the future of our planet, is a source of great pride for Kaner Group of Companies.
Kaner Group of Companies will continue to support social projects and act with a strong commitment to reducing the global carbon footprint.
