Emine Kaner

Emine Kaner was born in 1942 in Nicosia and attended Terra Santa French School in Limassol. In 1959, she married Vedat Kaner and had four children. Emine Kaner speaks Turkish, English, Greek, French, and Italian. She began working in the family business in 1972 and served as Chairwoman of the Board for 22 years starting in 1981, leading Kaner Group of Companies to key milestones and achievements. After losing her eldest son in 1977, she raised her daughter and two sons to become strong leaders, handing over her responsibilities to them in 2003 when she retired. Emine Kaner remains the Honorary Chairwoman and continues her involvement in social responsibility through the Environmental Protection Foundation, the Association for Supporting Independent Living, and as a member of the Free Island Lions Club in Kyrenia.

Güliz V. Kaner

Born in 1960 in Nicosia, Güliz V. Kaner graduated from Nicosia Turkish Maarif College and later studied Business English at the Eastbourne Ladies Tuition Centre in England. She began working at Kaner Group of Companies in 1979 and assumed leadership responsibilities alongside her mother following the death of her father, Vedat Kaner, in 1981. Güliz V. Kaner remains a Board Member, working with her siblings to advance the company’s vision of becoming a “global company with a corporate family structure.”

She has two children, Vedat Akdeniz and Eda Akdeniz, who both joined the company in 2011 as part of the third generation. Güliz V. Kaner leads the company’s corporate social responsibility projects and has been the President of the Association for Supporting Independent Living since 2013, where she played a key role in establishing the Barrier-Free Life House project.

Adem Kaan Kaner

Adem Kaan Kaner was born in 1969 in Nicosia and graduated from Nicosia Turkish Maarif College before completing his degree in Business in England. He started working in the family business at a young age and officially joined Kaner Group in 1992 after completing his studies and military service. Kaan Kaner played a key role in the company’s international market expansion and led the acquisition of the duty-free businessfollowing the privatization of Ercan Airport in 2013.

He spearheaded the installation of Kaner’s solar energy plant in 2018 and led the launch of the Kaner Brand House e-commerce platform in 2020, introducing a new sales model and expanding the brand to physical stores. Kaan Kaner also served on the Board of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce and played an active role in sports, founding the Vedat Kaner Sports Club in the 1990s. He was also the President of Yenicami Ağdelen Sports Club.

Kaan Kaner married Didem Kaner in 1994 and has two children, Lal and Vedat, both of whom have joined the family business. Kaan Kaner remains a Board Member and serves as the President of the Vedat Kaner Foundation since its establishment in 1997.

Ahmet Serhan Kaner

Ahmet Serhan Kaner was born in 1974 in Istanbul and graduated from Nicosia Turkish Maarif Collegebefore earning a degree in Business in England. He gained experience in various positions within the family business from a young age. Serhan Kaner officially joined the company in 1998 and played a key role in expanding the company’s domestic operations and distribution network.

He is a member of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce Assembly and actively participates in various non-governmental organizations. Serhan Kaner has a son named İrfan Vedat and continues to serve as a Board Member at Kaner Group of Companies.
